Mosquito control

Mosquitoes are tiny, blood-sucking insects that belong to the Culicidae family. They are found worldwide, especially in warm and humid climates. While both male and female mosquitoes feed on nectar, only females bite humans and animals to obtain blood for egg production. Their bites cause itching and irritation, and they are notorious for spreading dangerous diseases such as malaria, dengue, Zika virus, chikungunya, and West Nile virus.

1. Eliminating Breeding Sites

  • Remove Standing Water: Mosquitoes lay eggs in stagnant water, so empty containers, birdbaths, and clogged gutters.

  • Use Larvicides: Treat standing water (ponds, ditches, etc.) with larvicides like Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (BTI).

  • Maintain Swimming Pools & Fountains: Ensure proper chlorination and circulation.

2. Physical Barriers

  • Use Mosquito Nets: Sleep under insecticide-treated nets (ITNs).

  • Install Screens: Use mesh screens on windows and doors.

  • Wear Protective Clothing: Cover skin with long sleeves and pants.

3. fogging & Chemicals Spraying

  • Fogging & Sprays: Apply insecticides in high-risk areas, especially during mosquito season.
  • Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS): Treat walls with applying spray on the wall mosquitoes cannot sit on the walls or floor, thus providing complete protection from mosquitoes.

4. Professional Pest Control

  • Regular inspections and treatments.

  • Safe application of chemicals.

  • Eco-friendly options available.
